PM 15-08-10: Starting Medical Coverage

When a case meets spenddown, begin Medical coverage from the day spenddown was met through the last day of the same month. Action to authorize coverage should be taken within 2 workdays of receipt of the medical expenses or payment that met spenddown.

If a medical need is expected prior to the automated MMIS update, update the Interim Recipient Data Base (IRDB) by the end of the 2nd workday following the day of the request (see PM 22-08-18).
