PM 15-05-01: Family Assist

Eligibility for Family Assist is determined based on countable income for the current processing month. The difference between Family Assist and other FHP programs is that Family Assist has a lower income limit and when earned income or spousal support causes the income to go over the Family Assist limit, the family may qualify for Extended Medical. Countable income is calculated using Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) budgeting. Policy about countable income and allowable income deductions for FHPs is in PM 08-03-00.
