WAG 14-06-03.
A minor parent may receive TANF for up to 6 months without having to live with a parent, adult relative, or legal guardian, or in a maternity home or other adult-supervised arrangement, or meet one of the exemptions to the minor live-at-home
policy.
This 6-month period does not have to be:
- consecutive months, or
- the first 6 months in which the minor receives TANF.
A teen parent under the age of 18 who does not meet the minor live-at-home policy must cooperate with TPS in their attempt to help the teen find housing that meets the live-at-home requirement or an exception to it.
