Medicare Part A beneficiaries may be eligible for SLIB if they:

• are in spenddown, or
• live in a long term care or sheltered care facility.

Community spenddown cases that contain a SLIB are not centrally canceled after the 12-month enrollment period. REDE these cases every 12 months.
