PM 06-03-01-c: Time Limits

Approve the request for Crisis Assistance within the following time limits:

  • Make a decision on the request within 5 business days from the date of the request.
  • Issue a written decision notice within 2 business days from the date of decision.
  • If eligible, approve a payment within 2 business days from the date of decision.

When a TANF applicant requests Crisis Assistance, process the TANF application within the Crisis Assistance timeframes, if possible. If eligible, approve TANF Revised Manual Textwithout the 30-day wait and issue Crisis Assistance.

Authorize the applicant for presumptive eligibility (PE) for the TANF case to meet these timeframes if financial eligibility is verified, but nonfinancial verifications are pending.
