Social Work Program

Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) Social Work Program

The social work program at ISVI is an integral part of the school's educational program. It is developmental by design and includes activities organized and implemented by a certified school social worker with the support of parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and the school community.

The social work program addresses the needs of all students by facilitating personal and social development as well as helping to create a positive and safe learning climate in our school. At the same time the program assists students as they face issues and resolve problems that may prevent their healthy development.
