3/15/2016 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
The Bureau of Accessibility and Job Accommodation (BAJA) and the Illinois ADA Project host an ADA Distance Learning session on "Audio Description: The Visual Made Verbal." This session will discuss the "Fundamentals of Audio Description" (developed by Dr. Snyder) and access awareness, particularly with respect to people who are blind or have low vision. Audio Description is a translation of images to words-the visual is made verbal-and has been shown to provide access to the wide range of media and arts (television, film, performing arts, museums) that comprise any culture.
Speaker
- Joel Snyder, President, Audio Description Associates, LLC (USA); Director of Audio Description Project, American Council of the Blind
