Billing Reject Code 6Q means that the person is in a DRS Waiver (Home Services Program, Brain Injury or AIDS). In order to prevent this reject code, please follow the steps below:
- The person or family must inform the Department of Rehabilitation Services' (DRS) local office that they have chosen to begin receiving services from the Developmental Disabilities (DD) waiver and the date they will begin those services.
- The new provider of DD services or the Independent Service Coordination (ISC) agency must confirm that the DRS services have been suspended or terminated, including the last date of DRS services.
Note: If you initiate DD services before you end the DRS services, you will not be paid.
- Notify janene.vanbebber@illinois.gov that the DRS case has been closed and the last date of services from DRS.
