  4. Discussion: DMC Forum- September 21st
    1. Agenda
The most recent draft of the event's agenda was included in the meeting packets for review. Chairperson Franco-Payne suggested that President Toni Preckwinkle's welcome address be billed as a "keynote." Several members suggested that we invite representatives from the State's Attorney's Office and Public Defender's office to participate in the forum in order to be all inclusive. Kathy Bankhead also confirmed that she would secure a speaker from a community public safety group. Chairperson Franco-Payne reported that she was still trying to bring in a representative from the Chicago Police Department. Committee members discussed more in-depth follow-up questions for panelists and a particular emphasis on community involvement.
    2. Café Planning
The Committee discussed designating volunteers to act as table facilitator's for the event. Table facilitators include Kathy, Christine, Sarah, Esther, Judge Timberlake, Stephanie Kollmann, Rob and Karima. Committee members also helped refine the café structure in order to have shorter opening statements from panelists and more time for discussion from the audience.
