  1. Call to Order
    The meeting was called to order at 9:09am.
  2. Roll Call
    Chairman Lisa Jacobs, IJJC Chairman George Timberlake, George Hill and Rick Velasquez. Quorum declared present. Staff: Robert Vickery, Julie Stremlau, Karima Douglas, Ron Smith. Guests: Susan Witkin and Kanako Ishida.
  3. Approval of Minutes
    Minutes not reviewed.
  4. State Fiscal Year 2016 Local Funding - Review of Applications and Scoring
    Executive Director, Rob Vickery explained the proposals and the recommendations from March 9th meeting, (handout distributed). The group discussed Formula JABG, Title II and then Discretionary JABG requests. Commissioner Velasquez motioned to approve the lists of funding applicants noted below. Planning and Grants Chairman Jacobs seconded the motion. All in favor, motion passed. The group discussed the applications of DJJ and IBARG at length.   5. Other State Fiscal Year 2016 Contracts
    The Committee briefly reviewed applications for state-level work from the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), the Illinois Balanced and Restorative Justice Project, and the Illinois Association of Juvenile Justice Councils.  The Committee discussed the three proposed components of the DJJ proposal.  They focused on the importance of supporting the YASI project, funded in the current year.  IJJC Chairman Timberlake motioned to approve $42,000 for this project.  Planning and Grants Chairman, Lisa Jacobs seconded the motion.  All in favor, motion passed.  the remaining proposals will be addressed at future meetings.

    Planning and Grants Chairman Jacobs motioned to adjourn. IJJC Chairman Timberlake seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 11:46am.
