  1. Call to Order
    The meeting was called to order at 9:29am.
  2. Roll Call
    Planning and Grants Chairman Lisa Jacobs, Chairman George Timberlake, Julie Biehl, Esther Franco-Payne, George Hill, Toni Irving, Brendan Kelley. Quorum present. Staff: Rob Vickery, Julie Stremlau, Karima Douglas.
  3. Approval of Minutes
    Minutes were not reviewed at this meeting.
  4. Fiscal and Strategic Planning
    1. JABG Formula Awards
      The group separated into groups to review the JABG 2015 Applications. There were 14 applications submitted.
    2. JABG Discretionary Award Application Review and JABG FFY10 and FFY11 lapsing fund allocation recommendations
      The group finalized and submitted a list of grantees for 2015 JABG funding:
      Administrative Office of 19th Circuit (Lake) Juvenile Pre-Employment $88,701.00
      DuPage Probation Group Cognitive Interventions $100,000.00
      DuPage Probation Juvenile Pre-Employment $45,000.00
      Lake County States Attorney's Office Victim-Offender Mediation $29,853.00
      Cook Probation Misc. Training Projects, etc. $90,000.00
      Second Circuit Youth Council Improving Outcomes for Traumatized Youth $66,078.00
      DeKalb County Court Services Risk Assessment Initiative $81,200.00
      Cook County JAC Coordinator for RJ Hubs $147,342.00
      Macon County Teen Court $110,087.00 TOTAL $758,261.00
      State JABG Applications
      IDJJ PBIS Coach, Culture Change Consultant $140,530.00
      AOIC YASI Caseworks and Detention Screening $115,890.00
      Governor's State Sustainable BARJ in Detention $90,000.00
      TOTAL $346,420.00
      Commissioner Biehl recommended approving the funding of the listed applicants and denial of one. Commissioner Hill seconded the motion. All in favor. Applications approved. Motion made by Commissioner Jacobs to request Executive Committee make the final ruling on applications. Commission Biehl seconded. All in favor, the Executive Committee will have final rule over funding recommendations made by this Committee. Agencies will be notified by phone and then contracts and necessary paperwork processed.

    Motion to adjourn made by Chairman Timberlake. Seconded by Commissioner Hill. Meeting adjourned at 11:39am.
