ADA Distance Learning Session: ADA and Law Enforcement: Understanding the Issues

The Bureau of Accessibility and Job Accommodation (BAJA) and the Illinois ADA Project host an ADA Distance Learning session on "ADA and Law Enforcement: Understanding the Issues." This session will address the obligations of law enforcement agencies to understand and meet the needs of people with disabilities. Discussion will include obligations to conduct a self-assessment addressing physical barriers in facilities, policies and procedures to ensure non-discrimination on the basis of disability and the steps needed to ensure that you are able to communicate effectively with people with disabilities.
