Point of Sale (POS) terminals are usually found in retail stores, such as grocery stores. Illinois Link cardholders may access SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamp) and cash benefits at a POS terminal. There are no charges for withdrawals or inquiries at POS terminals.
If you believe that you were improperly charged by a retailer at a POS terminal, the best option is to try to resolve the problem with the store manager. If the manager is unable or unwilling to resolve the problem, report the problem either by going to the Illinois Link Card Website or by calling the Illinois Link Help Line at 1-800-678-LINK (5465).
When you report the problem, give the date, time and amount of the transaction, and describe the problem.
