PM 06-21-00: Medical Benefits for Asylum Applicants and Torture Victims

Revise textAsylum Applicants and Torture Victims (AATV), pursuant to 305 ILCS 5/5-2(14); 89 Admin 120.550, may be eligible for state funded medical assistance when not otherwise eligible for federally funded medical benefits, when they have a pending application for asylum or an appeal of an application for asylum with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), or individuals are victims of torture.

Persons applying for or enrolled in the Medical Benefits for Asylum Applicants and Torture Victims Program shall be entitled to appeal rights as described in PM 01-07-00.
