PM 06-11-03-b: In-Home Support Children's Waiver Services

WAG 06-11-03-b

The Children's Support Waiver is designed to allow families to keep their children at home and still be able to give them the specialized care they need. The following services are covered waiver services:

• personal support;
• home accessibility modifications;
• vehicle modifications;
• adaptive equipment;
• assistive technology;
• training and counseling for unpaid caregivers;
• behavior intervention and treatment; and
• individual service and support advocacy (ISSA) for each participant.

In addition to the services covered by HFS, waiver clients require additional non-medical support services that are needed to prevent the person from being institutionalized. These may be provided through another state agency or a community organization.
