NewWAG 06-11-03-a

The Waiver Program is for persons age 3 through 21 who are determined to have a developmental disability. The Waiver Program allows DHS to:

  • provide services in the home or a community-based group home to individuals who are eligible for and are at risk of placement in an institution;
  • provide medical benefits to persons who may not otherwise qualify for medical benefits;
  • provide services that are not normally covered by medical; and
  • not consider the income and assets of the child's parents when determining eligibility.

The program is case managed by DHS Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
