DHS Child Care Denial Reasons
10. Because we have not received the following information that we requested from you: ___________________________, we cannot establish that your child care arrangement meets the IDHS child care requirements. If you need help finding a provider that meets these requirements, call (insert number) for a parent counselor at our Child Care Resource and Referral agency. If you can supply the needed information, or if you have questions and/or concerns about your denial, please call a CCAP Specialist at (insert number).
11. Your child care arrangement does not meet the IDHS child care requirements. 13. You and/or another family member does not meet the eligibility requirements for IDHS child care. Both parents must be working or participating in an IDHS approved education or training program. 22. Children age 13 or older are not eligible for child care payments unless the child is physically or mentally incapable of self care or under court supervision. 33. Because your provider failed to establish a repayment plan or is in default of a repayment plan, we cannot pay your provider. 34. At this time, the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is only approving applications for families that meet the criteria for either: Very low income (at or below 50% of the Federal Poverty Level), Current IDHS TANF cash assistance grant recipients, Families requesting care for a child with special needs (supported by documentation), or a Teen Parents (through age 19) while they attend school to obtain a high school degree or its equivalent.
35. At this time, the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is only approving applications for families that meet the criteria for either: Very low income (at or below 162% of the Federal Poverty Level), Current IDHS TANF cash assistance grant recipients, Families requesting care for a child with special needs (supported by documentation), or a Teen Parents (through age 19) while they attend school to obtain a high school degree or its equivalent.
36. The application that was submitted did not indicate why child care is needed. Contact the agency at the bottom of this notice if you are currently working, going to school/training or are looking for a job or education program.
