Approve a monthly transportation allowance for a person in approved work, training, and other self-sufficiency activities, such as Work Experience, 
job clubs, and education or training programs. The transportation allowance covers:
- travel necessary to attend scheduled appointments and activities (except employer contact activities, which are covered by the Job Search Allowance); and
- travel necessary to find and take children to appropriate child care.
Do not issue transportation expenses when a provider is responsible for issuing the payment.
For a client in an approved education and training program, allow only the transportation expenses which cannot be met by nonexempt financial aid.
