  • This listing is for contracts under Vocational Rehabilitation (VR). To search for a Provider, use the Ctrl+F. Information will be updated regularly.
  • Service area is not included under the contract, so specific offices are often difficult to track and report, and have lead to much confusion in the past. Beginning with FY26, we will be listing the Region, but not the individual offices. 
  • Providers may serve customers with all types of disabilities under their contract, there are no limitations. For that reason, we expect that all customers with a sensory loss can be served. Those that indicated this service population was a priority, are listed below with an indicator. 


Contract Descriptions:

Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) Pre-Employment Career Training Program: A contract type that allows for CRP's to assist Chicago Public Schools students with employer paid Work-Based Learning Experiences to gain skills while in high school.

Customized Employment (CE): A job placement contract type for individuals with disabilities in need of longer term supports, where a typical position has not been successful. This model meets the unmet needs of the employers while also focusing on the talents of the workers. Support on the job as needed, for up to 24-months.

Early Start Pre-Employment Career Training Program: A contract type that provides the five required Pre-Employment Transition Services to students with a disability. This is only for those students who are potentially eligible, meaning they are between the ages of 14-21, or fall under Public Act 102-0172; are in an education program; and have documentation of a disability. Students do not move through to full eligibility for VR services. They can remain in this category until they no longer meet the criteria for a student with a disability.

Intern Program: Only one of this contract type, provides a real-work setting or settings for adults to gain necessary work skills prior to finding competitive, integrated employment.

Job Support Milestone: Only one of this contract type with a unique Provider that assists individuals with disabilities in returning to their current employment after some type of injury.

Milestone: A contract focused on job placement supports through at least 90 days of competitive integrated stable employment.

Purchase of Service (POS) Adult: A contract with evaluative and assessment menu of services.

Purchase of Service (POS) Youth: A residential program for youth with a disability, ages 16-24, to participate in gaining independent living and employability skills.

Pre-Employment Career Training (PECT) Program: A third-party cooperative arrangement (TPCA) contract type with school districts that provide the Pre-Employment Transition Services to students with a disability. Services can be provided to both potentially eligible students and those who have gone through eligibility for VR services.

Supported Employment Program (SEP):  A contract type that provides long-term supports for individuals with a disability. Support on the job as needed, for up to 24-months.

Specialized Pre-Employment Career Training Program: A contract type for Illinois State Board of Education recognized schools only. Programming is shortened from the PECT contract, and usually is for therapeutic, behavioral, or day schools.

Indicator Types:

BBS Indicator- Providers that specifically identified serving individuals with some type of a Visual Impairment.

DHH Indicator- Providers that specifically identified serving individuals with some type of a Hearing Impairment.

IPS Indicator- Providers that meet criteria to serve this population.

SWTCIE- Indicates CRP's participating in that program.
