IES Phase 2 Process
The first REDE is due 12 months from the calendar month in which the case is approved.
Legacy Process
The first REDE (no entry in Item 30) is due 12 months from the calendar month in which the case is approved. The date a REDE is due appears in Item 32.
Example: A case was approved for medical assistance on 09/20/15. The date in Item 32 is 09/16. The first REDE is due 09/16 (12 months from 09/15).
If there is an entry in Item 30, the next REDE is due 12 months from the date in Item 30. This date appears in Item 32.
Example: The date in Item 30 is 06/15. The next REDE is due 06/16 which is the date in Item 32. If the REDE is completed and entered in Item 30 in 06/16, the next REDE is due in 06/17 which will be the date in Item 32. If the REDE due is not completed and entered in Item 30 until 08/16, the next REDE is due 08/17 which will be the date in Item 32.
The first time a case is due for a REDE, it appears on the PAL in the 9th month of the REDE cycle. The REDE is due in the 10th month. All subsequent REDEs appear on the PAL in the 11th month of the 12-month REDE cycle. The REDE is due in the 12th month.
