Interim Director Rafael Rivera is pleased to announce that the revision to Illinois Administrative Code, Title 77: Public Health Chapter: Department of Human Services, Subchapter d: Licensure Part 2060, Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Intervention Licenses (commonly referred to as Administrative Rule, Part 2060) has been adopted as of April 2, 2025. The text of the revised rule will be published in the coming weeks in the Illinois Register. Another notification will be sent out with the registry link to the published rule as soon as it is available.
The new rule repeals and recreates the current Part 2060 and establishes minimum requirements for substance use disorder intervention and treatment licenses, along with standards for clinical care in Illinois.
Licensed substance use disorder intervention and treatment organizations are required to familiarize themselves with and adhere to the revised standards contained in the new Part 2060. Technical assistance and training will be provided to support implementation of the new rule. More information will be forthcoming regarding scheduled training opportunities.
