About Pleneros y Poetas

Harnessing the power of plena as music of resistance, Pleneros y Poetas brings together a group of Chicago-based poets and pleneros from different neighborhoods to explore improvisation, storytelling, as well as shared and unique struggles within their communities.

Pleneros y Poetas is a project funded by Healing Illinois. Artistic leaders: Logan Lu (poetry) and Quincy Raggs (plena).
