WAG 18-04-12-a: Removing Household Member From Food Assistance Only Case

New Manual Material Household Member has Died:

  1. Initiate a Case Change Case Action via the EDM Inbox if a verification of death task is present, if not, Initiate a Case Change Case Action via the Initiate Data Collection Page in IES.
  2. Navigate to the Individual Page under Left Navigation in IES and on the Individual Information Tab, update the Date of Death (DOD), DOD Report Date and the Deceased Verification entries and press Next.
  3. On the Individual Page under Left Navigation in IES, on the Individual Household Status Tab, update the Individual Household Status Dates. For guidance on updating these, see the Dates Job Aid.
  4. Navigate to the Eligibility Page in IES and Run Eligibility.
  5. Review Eligibility Results before certifying. If the results are incorrect, navigate to the appropriate Data Collection page(s) and update them accordingly. If changes are made, return and complete Step 4 again.
  6. Review the pending Notice of Decision (IL444-0360 C) for accuracy before printing.
  7. If it is not accurate, suppress the notice, generate a manual Notice of Decision (IL444-0360 C) and mail or hand to the customer.

Note: Client/Relative Statement is acceptable verification to confirm the death of a household member on a Food Assistance EDG.

New Manual Material Household Member Leaves the Household:

  1. Initiate a Case Change Case Action via the EDM Inbox if a verification of deletion task is present, if not, Initiate a Case Change Case Action via the Initiate Data Collection Page in IES.
  2. Navigate to the Individual Page under Left Navigation in IES and on the Individual Household Status Tab, update the Individual Household Status Dates. For guidance on updating these, see the Dates Job Aid.
  3. Navigate to the Eligibility Page in IES and Run Eligibility.
  4. Review Eligibility Results before certifying. If the results are incorrect, navigate to the appropriate Data Collection page(s) and update them accordingly. If changes are made, return and complete Step 4 again.
  5. Review the pending Notice of Decision (IL444-0360 C) for accuracy before printing.
  6. If it is not accurate, suppress the notice, generate a manual Notice of Decision (IL444-0360 C) and mail or hand to the customer.

Note: If the customer being removed from the household moved out of Illinois, update the State of Residence field and the corresponding Individual Demographics Dates on the Individual Demographics - Citizen/Residency Page before running eligibility.
