Chicago Survivors (CS) offers crime victim and support services to surviving family members of Chicago homicide victims. Services are survivor-shaped, trauma-informed, family-centered and delivered primarily in survivors' homes. Chicago Survivors also works to reform and enhance systems that families encounter in the aftermath of homicide.
Chicago Survivors (CS) will provide crisis and support services to families of homicide victims whose homicide occurred within the Chicago city limits. Based on past recent history, the targeted population is expected to consist of communities in low-income, high crime, under-resourced neighborhoods on the South and West sides of Chicago.
CS will provide services within the following areas:
