WAG 16-05-14: Stop Protective Payment

PM 16-05-14.

(IM) Use side 2 of Protective Payment Plan Agreement (Form 2391) to notify the client and the protective payee when a protective payment plan for mismanagement is terminated. Follow instructions on Form 2391.

Seek court appointment of a guardian of the payee, or of the caretaker relative, when the protective payment plan:

• was set up for reasons of financial mismanagement;
• has lasted for more than 24 months in a row; and
• shows further need to be continued.

Enter in the case record the reason that a protective payment plan is being terminated.
