PM 16-02-00: Temporary Payee (TANF, GA-FCA)

WAG 16-02-00.

A temporary payee (TEMP) can be assigned when no caretaker relative (or legal guardian for GA-FCA) is immediately available to be designated as payee. A person cannot be TEMP for more than 90 days. A TEMP must meet "living with" requirements (see PM 03-05-03). A TEMP:

• is designated only for an active case;
• does not qualify as a caretaker relative (or legal guardian for GA-FCA); and
• is not included in the TANF or GA-FCA unit.
