PM 15-08-03: Spenddown of Excess Income and Resources

WAG 15-08-03.

Enrolled cases are not eligible for payment of covered medical services until spenddown is met. Spenddown is met by providing medical bills and/or receipts to the FCRC that equal the amount of the client's monthly spenddown amount. Clients enrolled in the Pay-in Spenddown option may meet spenddown by paying their spenddown amount to HFS (see PM 15-08-15). The client is eligible for payment of covered medical services on the day spenddown is met through the last day of the same month.

When a change is received electronically or entered by the caseworker IES runs eligibility and recalculates the spenddown amount.
