Example: Ms. Hotel receives FamilyCare for herself, and All Kids Assist for her daughter. Ms. Hotel receives a 2381C notice informing her that her family is eligible to continue receiving FamilyCare and All Kids Assist. Ms. Hotel reports that she is now married and pregnant. She requests medical coverage for her spouse who has no income of his own. Generate a Form 243A-C Request for Medical Benefits for an Additional Household Member from Correspondence/Manual Forms. Update Ms. Hotel's status in IES to show she is pregnant by completing a "case change action." When Form 243A-C is returned, update IES, run eligibility and certify the result. Ms. Hotel will be continuously eligible based on the new information received. Since Ms. Hotel's daughter was determined ex parte eligible, she is continuously eligible for the remainder of the current certification period and the new 12-month certification period.
Example: Mr. India, active on an ACA Adult case, receives a 2381C notice informing him that he is eligible to continue receiving ACA Adult. He reports a new address in Manage My Case through ABE. Review the IES task. The new address is in Illinois, and no other changes are reported. Go to "data collection/case change" to update the address and certify the result.
Example: Ms. Juliet, an SSI recipient and active on an AABD case, receives a 2381C notice informing her that she is eligible to continue receiving AABD. Ms. Juliet contacts the FCRC directly and reports that she moved out of state. Go to data collection/case change in IES: update the address, run eligibility and certify the results. IES sends a form 360C Notice of Decision informing her that she is ineligible due to not being an Illinois resident.
Example: Mr. Wright, receives FamilyCare for himself and All Kids Assist for his son. Mr. Wright reports a change 60 days before his redetermination due date and before he has received a 2381C notice. Go to the "REDE Received Details" table on the Redetermination Received Search/Summary page in IES to confirm whether Mr. Wright and his son were determined ex parte eligible or ineligible. If both were ex parte eligible, process the reported change as a "case change" action. If one or both were ex parte ineligible, use caseworker discretion based on verifications available (is all required information available?) and timeframe (is case available to redetermine early?) to determine if the change should be processed as a "change action" or a "redetermination action".
