Opting In or Out of Summer EBT
Households are not obligated to participate in the Summer EBT program. If a customer chooses to opt out of Summer EBT, they have the option to opt back in anytime before the end of the Summer Operational Period (SOP) as long as other Summer EBT benefits have not expunged on the case. They may opt in or out by:
- Contacting the Summer EBT Hotline at 1-833-621-0737; or
- Using the Manage My Case Portal (MMC), clicking the "Manage My SEBT Benefits" button and selecting the "opt-in" or "opt-out" options.
Households who wish to opt out may also use the "Contact us" link on the Summer EBT Screener results page as long as the individual they are opting out was successfully matched in the screening process.
Households who opt in or out will receive a Summer EBT Notice of Change indicating the change.
Note: To use the MMC option, users must first link their Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE) accounts with MMC.
