Administrative Rule, Part 2060
Director Laura Garcia is pleased to announce that the public comment and formal adoption period for revisions to Illinois Administra??ve Code, Title 77: Public Health Chapter: Department of Human Services, Subchapter d: Licensure Part 2060, Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Treatment and Intervention Licenses (commonly referred to as Administrative Rule, Part 2060) is ready to begin.
This proposed new rule will replace the current Part 2060 which establishes minimum requirements for substance use disorder interven??on and treatment licenses and the standards for clinical care. This new rule will update outdated and s??gma??zing language, incorporate current practice, address workplace shortages, and reduce administratve burden. We are excited to share the new Part 2060 with all of you and hope that you will be pleased with the significant improvements in medical services and overall pa??ent care.
The first step in the adoption process is to publish the document for first notice which then initiates a 45-day open public comment period. We anticipate that this first notice will be published in mid-April and the access link will be shared with you as soon as it is finalized. At that time, stakeholders may submit comments related to the revised rule as specified in the document. We appreciate in advance any support you can provide for the adoption of this new rule.
