WAG 14-12-01: Participation

PM 14-12-01.

(System) Centrally identifies a TPS TANF Cash case:

  • upon approval at intake, and/or
  • for active cases, at the close of Schedule 09, when revision of information on Form 552 causes the case to be identified as a TPS case.

A case is centrally identified as TPS if it meets one of the following criteria:

  • An 04 or 06 case in which an adult (Item 69 coded 1, 2, or 4) on the case is:
    • age 11 through 19 years and 9 months; and
    • Case Classification, Item 28, is coded G, R, S, or left blank; or
    • coded with an EDD date in Item 60; and
    • coded A, B, C, D, E, F, dash, or left blank in Item 71.
  • An 04 or 06 case in which a child (Item 69 coded 3 or 6) on the case is:
    • age 11 through 18 years and 6 months; and
    • coded 6 in Item 69 or
    • coded with an EDD date in Item 60; and
    • coded A, B, C, D, E, F, dash, or left blank in Item 71.

The system alerts staff via a batch exception message in AIS/IPACS that the case is a TPS case. The batch exception message says:

There is a teen parent in this case. Referred to TPS.

TPS TANF Cash cases remain in the FCRC. TPS contractors or TPS staff provide TPS services.
