A Time to Reflect and Rejoice
As the year comes to an end, I would like to thank our community and state partners and IDHS/SUPR staff for the incredible work they do to help people experiencing substance use challenges that can lead to incarceration, loss of family, homelessness, and ultimately chronic health conditions.
Thank you for sustaining a system of care where individuals with substance use disorders, those in recovery, and those at risk are valued and treated with dignity-every action you take to assist someone struggling to feel hope matters.
I wish you and your family peace and joy during the holiday season and a very Happy New Year. I look forward to seeing you in 2024.

Important Holiday Resources
For many, the holidays can heighten pain and trauma. People seeking substance use care can call the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances at 1-833-2FINDHELP (833-234-6343) to speak with a trained professional for support and advice.
People experiencing a mental health crisis can call or text 988, the 24-hour Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. They will be connected to the closest possible crisis center in their area and can dial 2 for Spanish.

The Illinois Opioid Settlements Initiative Website is Live!
Visit ILopioidsettlements.com for up-to-date information from IDHS/SUPR and the Illinois Attorney General's Office on the disbursement of the settlement funds. The website also serves as a central location for NOFOs that will be issued regularly by the Regional Care Coordination Agency established by IDHS/SUPR to administer and distribute funding for approved opioid abatement uses.
Recovery Residences Registry
The IDHS/SUPR Recovery Residence Registry has been moved to the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances to simplify public inquiries for Recovery Residence. Information in the registry helps IDHS/SUPR better understand recovery residences' capacity and support for Medication Assisted Recovery. If you partner with a residence that is not listed, please invite them to register and/or contact Kimberly.Sriner@illinois.gov to list the organization. Search the Recovery Residences Registry at any time
Overdose Response Funding Updates:
