WAG 11-02-07-b
When a client reports the receipt of new income or it is learned that the client has failed to report income, take the following actions:
Client Reports Income
When a client reports the receipt of new income, determine ongoing eligibility by anticipating income to be received during the first payment month which can be affected. If nonexempt income exceeds anticipated total needs, determine if the client is eligible for any other medical program.
If nonexempt income does not exceed anticipated total needs, budget the new income prospectively. If the income is received weekly or bi-weekly, convert it to a monthly amount, see PM 11-02-04-a.
Client Does Not Report Income
When it is learned that a client has failed to report the receipt of new income, determine ongoing eligibility for the first payment month that can be affected. If the unreported income exceeds total needs, determine if the client is eligible for any other medical program.
If the income does not exceed total needs, budget the income prospectively. If income is received weekly or bi-weekly, convert it to a monthly amount, see PM 11-02-04-a.
Report any overpayment (see PM 23-03-00).
