DDD Announces Approval of Adult DD Waiver Amendment!

On December 19, 2023, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) received approval of the Waiver Amendment for the Adults with Developmental Disabilities Waiver with an effective date of January 1, 2024. DDD previously posted the proposed rate increases: IDHS: DDD Proposed Rate Table - Effective January 1, 2024 (state.il.us). With the approval of this Waiver Amendment, the proposed rates for Waiver services in this Rate Table are now approved effective January 1, 2024. For participants in the Home-Based Support Services (HBS) Program, please ensure all service authorizations/agreements are updated for any services purchased after January 1, 2024.
As a reminder, the Waiver Amendment includes the following changes to the Adult DD Waiver:
Guidehouse Rate Study Changes
- $2.50/hour wage increase for Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff
- 15% Regionalization Factor for Day Programming:
- Community Day Services (31C, 31U, 31V, 38U, 38C)
- Supported Employment (33G, 36G, 36U)
- Enhanced Residential (37U)
- Additional Staff Supports (53D, 53S)
24-Hour Stabilization Services
- Updates the service definition to broaden the service beyond Short-Term Stabilization services to include Long-Term Stabilization services.
