Each year, the Community Advisory Council develops recommendations for the Interagency Task Force on Homelessness as required by the State of Illinois. This year's recommendations focus on overarching goals of (1) strengthening relationships between Interagency Task Force and Council members, (2) increasing interaction between people with lived experience of homelessness and the Interagency Task Force, and (3) recommendations for the Home Illinois FY 25-26 plan.
The report also uplifts several recommendations from community partners, reflecting the depth of knowledge and leadership in the larger community. The Council looks forward to collaboration with the Interagency Task Force on implementation of these recommendations. Together we can realize a future where each of our neighbors have a safe, healthy and stable place to call home - the future all Illinoisans deserve.
