Aid and Attendance is a cash benefit provided to wartime veterans and surviving spouses of wartime veterans when that person requires the aid and attendance of another person (e.g., for personal care). This benefit is included in the regular monthly
VA benefit. The referral is made to the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) field office serving the area including the client's residence.
Assist the Department of Veterans Affairs by providing copies of case record information about a person's veteran status or income verification, if they request that information.
Application for this VA benefit is not a condition of eligibility.
