IDHS/SUPR Office of Opioid Settlement Administration Awards Regional Care Coordination Agency Grant
The Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) Office of Opioid Settlement Administration (OOSA) is pleased to announce that Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP) has been awarded the Regional Care Coordination Agency (RCCA) funding opportunity. The RCCA funding was awarded to AHP through a competitive Notice of Funding Opportunity process.
As the RCCA, AHP will establish subgrants with local and regional organizations that address opioid overdoses and other substance use disorders. Their work will span the continuum of care and align with the strategies and activities set forth by IDHS/SUPR, the Illinois Opioid Allocation Agreement, and the State Overdose Action Plan.
The services implemented through this award aim to enhance the state's ability to support and expand resources for substance use prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery services. The goal is to reduce drug overdoses and increase recovery services on a regional level, particularly in areas that have been most impacted by the opioid epidemic and have experienced disparities in behavioral health services.
The RCCA webpage as well as NOFO opportunities can be accessed at Illinois Opioid Settlements. If there are any inquiries regarding the RCCA, individuals can reach out to the Statewide Opioid Settlement Administrator, at DHS.OpioidSettlementFunds@Illinois.gov.
