DDD Communication - January 18, 2023

QUICK NOTES

JANUARY 1 RATE CHANGES INFORMATION BULLETIN RELEASED

Yesterday afternoon, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) released the Final Information Bulletin - Rate Changes for DDD Waiver Funded and ICF Programs. This Information Bulletin provides information and guidance related to the implementation of the second set of the Guidehouse Rate Study recommendations as well as other FY23 budget increases including the implementation of the rate increase given in Spring 2022 and a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for Child Group Homes (CGHs) as well as the Independent Service Coordination (ISC) Agency COLA, among others. The DDD already received several questions on the Information Bulletin related to the regionalization factor and its effect on the DSP hourly wage. To alleviate confusion, the unclear language has been removed.

UPDATED PERSON-CENTERED PLANNING FORMS ARE AVAILABLE

The DDD's Person-Centered Planning (PCP) forms have been updated to reflect more specific direction from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the information required for all modifications an individual may have related to the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Rule expectations. We also corrected several formatting issues on the original forms. Just a reminder, any Discovery meetings held after October 1, 2022, must be completed on these new forms. When you open the forms, you will receive a "please wait" message. You will need to download and save the forms to your computer hard drive and open them from your saved files, not the internet. Please begin using these updated forms immediately.

New forms are linked below and also posted on the PCP webpage.
