The Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) envisions a behavioral health system that enables all to thrive regardless of race, zip code, and disability. IDHS/SUPR is fully committed to pursuing equity and racial justice with intention, vigor, and tenacity. To continue achieving our mission, IDHS/SUPR has released a Non-Competitive Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Pregnant and Postpartum Persons (PPP) Enhanced Recovery Home (ERH).
The PPP-ERH provides an opportunity to create a family-like environment that offers individualized recovery-oriented services for PPP with substance use, mental health disorders and their family and concurrently improve maternally and infant health outcomes. EHRs provide an enhanced structure and expand services beyond the current recovery home regulatory requirements. The PPP-ERH, for instance, will address the specific needs of the target population by designing innovative services that adjust to the fluctuating needs of the high-risk population served. The focus is on the family's well-being, which includes supporting all stages of recovery and providing a safe and stable environment for the family to thrive and work towards self-sufficiency at their own pace.
IDHS/SUPR anticipates the availability of approximately $3,000,000 in total funding and anticipates funding between 2-3 grants.
Applicants must submit a program plan that describes the proposed services that will be delivered in the identified geographic service area(s) and the unique features and characteristics of how the organization will approach the delivery of the services specified in this NOFO.
The deadline for submissions is October 3, 2022, at 3:00pm CST.
