The Illinois Department of Human Services/ Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) will be submitting an application to the FY22 State Opioid Response (SOR) NOFO from SAMHSA. This NOFO can be found atSAMHSA Grant Announcements.
SUPR is seeking input from all treatment, prevention, harm reduction and recovery support services providers.
The purpose of SOR is to address the opioid overdose crisis by providing resources to states and territories for increasing access to FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), and supporting the continuum of prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery support services for OUD and other concurrent substance use disorders.
The SOR program also supports the continuum of care for stimulant misuse and use disorders, including for cocaine and methamphetamine. The SOR program aims to help reduce unmet treatment needs and reduce opioid-related overdose deaths across America.
SUPR is seeking input to assist in identifying service gaps, demographic groups with unmet needs, and innovative strategies. We have created a brief survey which can be found at SOR Provider Input Survey.
Please take a few minutes to respond to the survey questions. The SOR application is due July 18, 2022.
We are asking for survey responses by June 18, 2022.
