Final Rules: COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing

On September 3, 2021, the Governor signed Executive Order 2021-22 which, among other things, requires health care workers and school personnel to be fully vaccinated or be subject to at least weekly testing, as described in the Order.

IDHS filed emergency rules related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor's Executive Order 2021-22 on October 1, 2021 for the following Parts. The permanent rules became effective on February 4, 2022:

• 59-132: Medicaid Community Mental Health Services Program (46 Ill. Reg. 2937)
• 77-2060: Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Treatment and Intervention Licenses (46 Ill. Reg. 2945) 
• 89-730: Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education/Community Services for the Blind, Visually Impaired and Deafblind (46 Ill. Reg. 2954)
• 89-750: Role of Residential Educational Facilities Operated by the Illinois Department of Human Services (46 Ill. Reg. 2962) 

The emergency rulemakings were published in the October 1, 2021 issue of the Illinois Register and on the IDHS Coronavirus Information website.
