December 13, 2021 DDD Communication - Letter

Dear Providers,

This communication is a follow up to our Division communication on October 13, 2021. The temporary residential CILA increase of 5% was increased to 7% effective October 1, 2021. We are extending the 7% increase through June 30, 2022. We hope this increase will help financially support our residential CILA providers to further retain and attract staff, as well as provide additional funding for vaccination, testing or other needs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The Division does not anticipate this temporary increase extending beyond June 30, 2022.

As a reminder, the temporary 15% CDS increase, as well as the At-Home Day (37U) blanket extensions will end on December 31, 2021. Please see our updated rates effective 1/1/22 or upon final CMS approval. You can find it here: https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=138277

Finally, the Division will be issuing updated rate sheets for ALL individuals once the new rates take effect in January (or upon CMS approval). After preparing rate sheets the Division will then add the 7% back in. We are doing this so that our providers can understand the ongoing rates they will receive for the individuals they support without the rate inflation based on the temporary COVID-19 increases. We anticipate these being available in February.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for all you are doing.

Sincerely,

Allison Stark
