Bi-Monthly Update on OIG Operations
Draft revision to Rule 50:
- Deputy Inspector General, Charles Wright, discussed the history of Rule 50 and the proposed changes regarding referring some investigations to the facilities
- Committee members discussed their concerns with the proposed changes.
Update to OIG operations:
- COVID variant and concerns of face-to-face interviews.
- Bureau chiefs are using their judgement on when staff should phone vs. face-to-face interviews.
- There are a few staff retirements at the end of the year that may cause a strain on some operations.
- Hiring processes are continuing with a new CAO to be hired early in the new year
Administrative Matters
Continue to schedule the board meetings on the third Tuesday every other month at 11:00 a.m. on 02/15/22, 04/19/22, 06/21/22, 08/16/22, 10/18/22, and 12/20/22.
