Presenter Bios Krescene Beck
Krescene works with Blue Tower Solutions. She also serves as the
Organizational Director of the Illinois Self-Advocacy Alliance, a statewide network of self-advocates and self-advocacy member group chapters in Illinois.
Judy Dorsey
Judy is an outspoken self-advocate from Charleston, Illinois. She has presented on guardianship as well as abuse and neglect. Judy has helped teach social work students at Eastern Illinois University, and has shared "Spread the Word to End the Word" at Eastern Illinois University. Judy is a graduate of the Alliance Ambassador Leadership Program (AALP), as well as a graduate of Illinois Partners in Policymaking.
Linda Sandman
Linda Sandman, MSW, LCSW was trained as a sexuality educator in 2009, while at the UIC Developmental Disabilities Family Clinics. She developed and supervised sexuality education groups for adults at the Clinics from 2007 to 2016, which were attended by individuals from area community agencies and transition programs. Linda has advocated for access to sexuality education for people with IDD at local, state and national levels, partnering with self-advocate leadership in this important work. She is a member of the Sex Ed Implementation Oversight Committee and co-chair of the Curriculum Committee. Linda is bilingual in Spanish and English and bicultural.
