IDHS/SUPR FY 2022 Second Quarter Training Schedule

The Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) is pleased to announce two additional trainings scheduled for the second quarter: Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR) and Telebehavioral Health!

Telebehavioral Health Essential Best Practices and Ethics

Providing telebehavioral health services legally, ethically, and safely requires preparation and protocols are different for each profession. Learn the essential ethical considerations for direct-to-consumer telebehavioral health services and how to prevent and respond to ethical issues. Illinois specific regulation guidelines and practical resources will be included.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn legal and ethical boundaries for seeing clients/patients online in the State of Illinois
  • Understand the preparation steps needed to provide legal, ethical, and HIPAA-compliant Telehealth (video) services
  • Identify the documentation needed to begin legal, ethical, and HIPAA-compliant Telehealth services
  • Learn the operational routines needed to efficiently meet the ethical requirements for providing Telehealth services

Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR) for Substance Use Disorder Treatment Professionals

This training is designed to provide participants with the background knowledge and practical skills that they need to address suicidal risk and behaviors to patients with substance use disorders (SUD).
