On September 3, 2021, the Governor signed Executive Order 2021-22 which, among other things, requires health care workers and school personnel to be fully vaccinated or be subject to at least weekly testing, as described in the Order.
IDHS filed emergency rules related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor's Executive Order 2021-22 that are currently in effect for the following Parts. These rules became effective on September 16, 2021 and will remain in place for a maximum of 150 days:
The rulemakings were published in the October 1, 2021 issue of the Illinois Register and on the IDHS Coronavirus Information website. Permanent rulemaking, similarly governing mandatory vaccination and testing for these same areas, is currently pending before the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.
