PM 05-08-08: Disqualified Group Home

When a group home is disqualified, its employees cannot act as an authorized representative and the residents that they represented do not qualify for SNAP benefits while living in the group home.

When a group home is disqualified, the Family Community Resource Center must:

• cancel each resident's SNAP case where the group home is the authorized representative; and
• send the resident a notice that says why their SNAP benefits are canceled and the effective date (a 10 day timely notice is not required).

Residents who receive SNAP benefits on their own behalf remain eligible.
