For the twenty-second year, the National Council on Program Gambling (NCPG) dedicates the month of March to helping those in need who suffer from gambling problems.
IDHS/SUPR is the state agency principally responsible for the prevention and treatment of gambling disorders in Illinois. IDHS/SUPR organizations that provide gambling treatment and outreach services will be sponsoring public awareness events and activities for Illinois residents during the entire month of March.
Gambling Disorder Screening Day, held annually on the second Tuesday of March, will be March 12th, 2024. Established in 2014, Screening Day has included supporters and screeners from Illinois, the United States, and around the world. Screening Day has helped identify individuals who might have Gambling Disorder and should seek further assessment. To see a list of screening events in your area, see Illinois Council for Problem Gambling (ICPG) events calendar.
