WAG 02-09-01: Noncooperation with RSP Development at Application

When a TANF applicant fails without good cause to cooperate with developing or signing a RSP, deny TANF for the person and everyone required to be in the same filing unit. Approve TANF for persons not required to be in the same filing unit, such as nieces, nephews, and grandchildren whose parent is not in the filing unit.

Deny the cash request if all persons are required to be in the same TANF filing unit. Progress the application to medical if medical has not already been approved.

• For direct and stated refusal, deny the cash request using TA 05/TAR 27.
• For failure without direct and stated refusal, deny the cash request using TA 05/TAR 03.
