2020 Pregnant Teens Doula Fact Sheet

Program Objectives:

To improve outcomes associated with adolescent childbirth and parenting. These outcomes relate to the health of adolescent mothers and their children and to reductions in health care costs associated with high-risk adolescent births.

Eligibility Requirements of Population Served:

Pregnant teens in selected areas of the state

Medicaid-eligible teens who reside in high-risk areas and are at increased risk of poor pregnancy and birth outcomes

Ounce of Prevention

• Marillac Social Center in Chicago;
• Catholic Charities in Chicago;
• VNA Health Center in Aurora;
• The Children's Foundation in Bloomington.
